An exceptionally rare Jacques Fath Haute Couture ensemble from the Autumn/Winter 1994 collection, created during the Tom van Lingen era
The coat was worn on the runway by Karen Mulder, making this a particularly significant example from the house’s 1990s couture revival
Cut in an elaborate dark jacquard with ivory and metallic scrolling motifs, the coat features a sharply sculpted high collar, fitted waist, dramatic flared peplum and elongated pointed front panels
The sleeves are finished with oversized plush white fur cuffs, creating an opulent contrast against the richly patterned fabric
The ensemble is accompanied by its matching fitted vest, constructed from the same jacquard
Both pieces retain their original Jacques Fath Paris / Made in France labels
As a Haute Couture piece, the construction reveals extensive hand-finishing throughout
The interior lining and numerous finishing details have been carefully completed by hand, reflecting traditional couture construction techniques rather than standard ready-to-wear production

Good vintage condition considering its age and couture nature
The coat has been professionally dry-cleaned, however there is age-related discoloration around the collar which could not be removed
There are also some permanent marks/staining to the interior lining / Please refer closely to the detailed photographs
The matching vest shows significant discoloration around the left pocket area / Please also note that the vest is exceptionally small in size
The visible hand stitching and irregularities to portions of the interior construction are consistent with the hand-finished nature of Haute Couture and should not be mistaken for later repairs or manufacturing defects
